In my experience in the consulting room, nothing is too much trouble for Christine, and her favourite phrase is, “We will get it right”, and she does just that.
Frank Farrow Having been seen initially on the National Health at my local hospital I did not feel that the investigation into my hearing loss was thorough enough and so looked at available options on-line.
I made an appointment with Christine at personal hearing who recommended strongly that my husband also attend so we were both aware of every step required and told me it would take some time. The test and process of being diagnosed was, pleasant, easy and interesting, but quite amazing when the hearing aids, (actually tailored for me) proved what I had been missing. As you know he has had a hearing problem for many years and has “limped along” with National Health Aids for many years but recently his ability to hear clearly has dramatically reduced.
At my request, you assessed his hearing and have provided him with aids that he is getting considerable benefit from. You have been very open and have made it clear the new aids are not a “miracle cure” and that his progress will be gradual, as his processing ability needs to learn to recognise sounds that he has not been able to hear for many years.
I was very impressed with your evaluation of his hearing and the patience you have had explaining the changes to him. It was a surprise and we were very pleased that you were also able to remove the wax from his ears otherwise we would have had to go to the doctors surgery to get that done before you could fit his aids.
